On Monday afternoon, the jury in the trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell reached a verdict, finding Gosnell guilty on three counts of first-degree murder for killing three babies born alive and one count of manslaughter in the death of one of his adult patients.

Planned Parenthood Action Fund (@PPact) weighed in on the news with this tweet, hailing the “just verdict,” adding it will ensure “no woman is victimized by him ever again. [emphasis added]”

The tweet made no mention of Gosnell’s main victims-the babies born alive whom Gosnell and his staff murdered. Gosnell’s first-degree murder convictions pertain to three babies-not women. Only the manslaughter conviction pertains to an adult patient who died of a drug overdose administered by Gosnell.

Despite widespread outrage on Twitter in reaction to the tweet, the comment remains; Planned Parenthood’s main account (@PPFAQ) also re-tweeted the remark.
