Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), echoing the tone of Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday, said that NSA leaker Edward Snowden was not a whistleblower. “Whatever his motives are,” she stated, “and I take him at face value, he could have stayed and faced the music. I don’t think running is a noble thought.”

Feinstein said that Feinstein had “taken an oath. These oaths mean something. If you can’t keep the oath, get out. And then do something about it in a legal way.”

Feinstein said her goal was to catch Snowden and try him. “I think the chase is on, and we’ll have to see what happens,” she concluded.
