On Friday, House Republicans held a meeting to discuss their strategy on the government shutdown. Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-MN) reported exclusively to Breitbart News, “This was one of the best conferences we’ve had.” She said that Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) was quite resolute with regard to the shutdown: “I felt like I was looking at this guy from back in 1994. He had very good resolve.”

According to Bachmann, the general agreement among Republicans is that the resistance to President Obama’s agenda surrounding the shutdown has now expanded beyond Obamacare, thanks to Obama’s intransigence. “This is a lot bigger than Obamacare,” Bachmann said. “This is about whether this country is going to succumb to socialism and this dictatorship of a White House. It began with this WWII memorial pushback. It continues with the National Park Service’s attempt to shut down Pisgah Inn in North Carolina. We’re going to push back.”

Bachmann said that House Republicans would begin voting on funding for projects normally seen as Democrat priorities. She said that House Republicans would “vote to fund all furloughed employees.”

“The conference is hanging tough and hanging together,” Bachmann added.
