The woman who led police on a chase and was eventually shot to death near the Capitol on Thursday had no weapons in her car and may have had a history of mental health issues.

According to ABC News, “police are trying to confirm that the suspect is a 34-year-old woman from Stamford, Conn., with a history of mental health issues” and have a bomb squad outside of her Stamford address.

The woman, who authorities believe was a dental hygienist, had an 18-month old child in the car who was not hurt.

The Capitol was placed under lockdown after policed fired shots at the woman.
