Alan Grayson, the Democratic representative from Florida’s 9th congressional district, sent out a fundraising email that showed a burning cross used to represent the “T” in Tea Party.

Dave Levinthal, senior political reporter at Public Integrity, caught it and tweeted, “Rep. @Alan Grayson (D-#FL) $-raising email features burning cross that makes the ‘T’ in ‘Tea Party.’ See for yourself.”

The picture accompanied statements taken from an interview Grayson did with Al Sharpton in which Grayson vilified the Tea Party with statements like:

They come to the president saying, “If you don’t let us steal your car, then, we are going to burn your house.”

At this point, the Tea Party is no more popular than the Klan.
