On Monday, as of 2 PM ET, Central Park in NYC recorded six inches of snowfall, as the East Coast is once again barraged by a severe snow storm. Some areas of New York can expect up to 10 inches of snow.

News 12 in New York indicates that the storm is driven by wet heavy snow in comparison to the light fluffy snowfall that fell on New York the last couple of weeks. There is a winter storm warning until 7 PM, and Mayor De Blassio is urging that people refrain from driving if at all possible. Freezing temperatures are expected tonight, so whatever snow has fallen will turn into ice.

The thermometer should descend to about 22 degree by 6 AM on Tuesday. Friday temperatures are expected to go down to 20 degrees.

The snow is expected to cease around 5 PM, but on Tuesday night another storm will move in and cover the Big Apple with even more of the white stuff. The second storm is expected to continue all the way through Wednesday. With what seems to be no end in sight, storm number three should hit again early next week.

Those in town for the Super Bowl are likely to face delays or cancelations at JFK, Newark, and La Guardia airports as they try to leave the New York City area. Hundreds of flights have already been canceled across New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia Monday afternoon. Travel is jammed along the I-95 corridor from New York City to Philadelphia, as several inches of snow have accumulated, increasing hazardous conditions.
