Bill Clinton is traveling to Kentucky to help its Secretary of State, Alison Lundergan Grimes, in her bid to replace Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. Clinton will join Grimes on February 25 in Louisville. Grimes said, “We are very excited to have President Clinton coming into town to make his first campaign stop of this election cycle. He called and said he wanted to make this race his top priority.”

Clinton pushing for Lundergan Grimes is no surprise; Grimes’s father, Jerry Lundergan, who was once head of the Kentucky Democratic Party, owned a company that catered Chelsea Clinton’s wedding, and Lundergan was the Kentucky Chairman of Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign for president.
