President Obama secretly traveled overnight on Saturday to Afghanistan, landing at the Bagram Air Field on Sunday.
According to the White House Press Pool, Obama is expected to join a Memorial Day weekend rally with U.S. troops.
Country music star Brad Paisley traveled with the president and is scheduled to give a concert for the troops.
Obama is also expected to get an on-site briefing from military commanders and visit wounded soldiers at a hospital on the base.
