Neighbors describe the gunman and gunwoman who killed two police officers and a civilian before taking their own lives in an “apparent suicide pact” as meth heads who were “weird,” “white supremacist,” and “boasted” of being on the Cliven Bundy ranch for a time.

According to the Mail Online, resident Brandon Monroe lived in the same complex – Oak Tree Apartments – as the couple and described them as “weird people.” He said he believed they “used methamphetamines.”

Moore said their names were “Jared” and “Amanda,” but he did not know their last names. Other reports indicate the male suspect’s name is “Jerad.” He said Jerad would dress “as Peter Pan to earn money entertaining and taking pictures with children at the Fremont Street Experience.”

According to the Las Vegas Sun, other residents described Jerad and Amanda “walking around town dressed as the Batman comic book characters The Joker and Harley Quinn.”

When the couple talked to fellow residents, they told them they wanted to kill police officers. The couple was described as being in their late 20s.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that a resident who lived next to the couple said Jerad told her he “had been kicked off Cliven Bundy’s ranch 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas while people from throughout the U.S. gathered there in protest of a Bureau of Land Management roundup of Bundy’s cattle.”
