Obama Denounces Islamic State: 'No Just God Would Stand for What They Did'

A visibly angry President Obama denounced Islamic State terrorists for beheading American journalist James Foley, lecturing them for their “bankrupt” ideology.

Obama denounced the group for rampaging through cities and hurting civilians with cowardly acts of violence, including raping and torturing and enslaving women and children. He also noted that the terrorist group was targeting both Christians and Muslims as well as other religious minorities.

Obama expressed comfort that terrorists would “ultimately fail” because of their ideology.

Obama vowed to be “vigilant” and “relentless” in support of a coalition of peaceful people in the Middle East and called for a “common effort to extract this cancer so it does not spread.”
