University of New Mexico (UNM) is facing sharp criticism for its plan to prevent sexual assault on campus with a week of titillating sex seminars.

Rather than focus on teaching students how to avoid sexual assaults, UNM has taken the tack of teaching students how to have safer and better sex.

According to KOB4, seminars during Sex Week include “How to be a Gentleman AND Get Laid,” “Todo Sobre Orgasmos,” “Sexy Mamas,” “Reid’s Negotiating Successful Threesomes,” “O-Face Oral,” and “BJs and Beyond with Reid.”

During the seminars, sex educators will be on hand with PowerPoint and puppet demonstrations to teach students how to have consensual, safe sex.

“I’m here to give you tools and tips and tricks so you can be a more powerful you and have a better more fulfilling life,” said Reid Mihalko in his lecture, titled “How to be a Gentleman AND Get Laid,” according to KRQE.com.

“The whole thing here is really about empowering yourselves to be able to make better choices and to not be so afraid and scared and feel so ashamed about sexuality,” Mihalko told the crowd of students.

UNM’s Women’s Resource Center said the lectures aim to teach students about healthy relationships to counter sexual violence on campus.

However, on its Facebook page, Students for Life UNM said, “We cannot believe that UNM is hosting an event like this! We have already sent a letter to the Dean and the President expressing our concern, and we encourage you to do the same.”

“It’s outrageous that UNM is promoting this kind of activity on campus – especially as a publicly-funded university,” Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, told Breitbart News. “I doubt parents paying tuition for their kids, and taxpayers footing the bill, want students to learn about ‘how to navigate a successful threesome’ when they should be studying.”

“How about promoting self-control and respect among students instead, UNM?” Hawkins added.
