Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) argued that Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has an “identical foreign policy” with President Obama on Tuesday’s “Laura Ingraham Show.”

While Rubio denied there was a spat between he and Paul, he did declare “Rand has made a decision to line up with the president on Cuba foreign policy and I think they’re both wrong.” And “they basically have the identical foreign policy and the identical views, especially when it comes to Cuba.”

Regarding the larger Republican Party debate on foreign policy, he argued “I think the vast majority of Republicans believe that the United States needs to be forcefully engaged in global affairs, and while we can’t solve all the problems of the world, I don’t ask that we do that, but I can tell you that in the absence of American foreign policy leadership, it leaves a vacuum and that vacuum on the global stage leads to either chaos or it leads to bad actors like China and Russia trying to fill that void.”
