Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid took to YouTube to explain a “bizarre” New Year’s Day injury Reid claims happened while exercising.
In the video, a tired-looking, hoarse-sounding Reid is seen sporting a large bandage over a badly bloodied right right eye. His right jawbone also appears to be severely bruised.
Reid, nevertheless, attempts a tongue-in-cheek tone in the video, in which he announces that doctors had ordered him to work from home until he fully recovered from his injuries.
“As most people know, I fought for a couple of years. After any one of those fights, I never looked like I do now,” Reid said.
He goes on to say he was injured while “I was exercising in my new home.”
Reid also said doctors have told him to take it easy.
