When the United States needs to improve relations with European nations, President Obama can either send John Kerry abroad, or he can call on one of his “bros.”

The leader of the free world has confirmed he calls British Prime Minister David Cameron “bro.”

“This sent some commentators into a tizzy,” the president said after two days of meetings at the White House, pointing out that reporters actually explored the meaning of the word “bro.”

“Some seem confused and asked, what does Obama mean? And so let me put the speculation to rest. Put simply, David is a great friend. He’s one of my closest and most trusted partners in the world on many of the most pressing challenges that we face,” Obama said.

Cameron is trying to build support at home ahead of a parliamentary election in May.
