Popular Egyptian singer Shaaban Abdel Rahim has released a new song accusing President Obama of supporting terrorist activities that are being carried out by the Islamic State (ISIS, ISIL) and Palestinian terror group Hamas.
Rahim’s new song, which is in Arabic, minces no words in directly accusing President Obama of being the “man” of the two Sunni terrorist groups:
We don’t want anything from you Obama. Now the people of Egypt know that you are the man of ISIS and Hamas… You told us ‘as-salamu alaykum’ [peace be upon you] in Cairo and we believed you, but now we know that you where playing and the reality is that you wanted to divide us.
“Obama your trick is now clear,” he sings. “Go to Qatar and Turkey, your allies. God bless the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. They stood by us in our bad time.”
The Obama administration has refused to back Egypt’s bombing of ISIS in Libya following the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians by the jihadist group.
Tensions between Egypt and the Obama administration have escalated following the July 2013 overthrow of Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, a Muslim Brotherhood leader. Morsi was ousted amid nationwide protests.
The Associated Press reported in November 2014 that Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates were talking about forming a joint Arab force to combat ISIS and intervene in and around the Middle East.
Last weekend, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, who led the overthrow of Morsi as Egypt’s military chief, said the need for a joint Arab force is growing daily as the region faces terrorist threats from groups like ISIS.
In 2009, Rahim sang, “Oh people hopefully Obama will not be like Bush.”
The Egyptian singer was accused of inciting hate against Israel and Jews through his song titled“I Hate Israel.”
