This weekend, former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL), a potential candidate for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, had an exchange with a dreamer activist.

Speaking in Spanish, Bush told the young lady he would make the citizenship of dreamers a priority, but it has to be done with immigration reform law, not by presidential “decree” like President Barack Obama has because that is the sort of thing a “Latin American dictator” would do.

Bush said, “Let’s give them priority to be citizens, but by the law. Not by decree, because that’s like a Latin American dictator.”
