Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders drew the largest gathering thus far for any of the 2016 candidates, packing in 19,000 people in the Portland, OR basketball arena, and a reported 9,000 additional people listening outside of the arena via loudspeakers.

Sanders, who hopes to take out the heavily-favored Hillary Clinton for the Democratic bid, said during his speech, “Portland, you have done it better than anyone else.”
