The White House downplayed the reaction from the media and democrats who are questioning Hillary Clinton’s presidential chances even after her disastrous response to her major email server scandal.

“It’s August of 2015 and the election is not until November of 2016,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest replied when questioned by reporters about their confidence in Hillary during the White House press briefing.

Earnest admitted he was “reluctant” to comment on the issue, citing the ongoing investigation from law enforcement officials. When asked if the White House had it’s own concerns about her activity, Earnest reassured reporters that she had acted in the “spirit” of transparency.
