Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Bloomberg TV’s “With All Due Respect” host John Heilemann said besides still weighing the emotional toll on himself and his family that entering the presidential race so close to the tragic death of his son, Beau Biden, would cause, Vice President Joe Biden has “basically decided to run.”

Heilemann said, “I have a ton of reporting on this this week. I have story coming out tomorrow morning that I believe will advance the conversation of this narrative considerably. But I will say this for now, I have said for six months that I did not necessarily— that I really thought— I believe he would not run. I now think more likely that he will run. I think that he will get in later than people assume. I think that, more or less, the human aspects are still true. He needs to get over that last hump in his heart, get there with his family, but I think on every other metric, I think he basically decided to run.”
