Two days before an upcoming fundraiser for Jeb Bush, one of his financial bundlers sent out a special note to potential donors: Donations not required.

“While we are asking for contributions of $1,000 – $2,700, it is not necessary to make a commitment in order to come,” an email obtained by Breitbart News read. The email was sent by Bush bundler Russ Reynolds, the chairman of RSR Partners.

Reynolds reminded potential supporters that the fundraiser would be held at fellow Bush supporter Ken Lipper’s “beautiful townhouse in Greenwich Village.”

“We would like smart people to meet with Governor Bush and to hear what he has to say, and then make up your own minds,” Reynolds added. “So feel no obligation financially, either now or in the future.”

Bush’s polling numbers have plunged in recent weeks, particularly in national polls.

The latest CNN poll shows the former Florida governor at only 3 percent.
