Vice President Joe Biden continues his emotional struggle over whether he made the right decision not to run for president against Hillary Clinton.

When asked if he regretted the decision not to run, Biden offered a bit of a contradictory response.

“I regret it every day,” Biden told NBC Connecticut’s Keisha Grant. He added, “But it was the right decision for my family and for me, and I plan on staying deeply involved, and we’ve got two good candidates.”

In October, Biden announced from the White House that he would not run for president, after Hillary Clinton boxed him out of consideration.

“Unfortunately, I believe we’re out of time,” he said in October, “the time necessary to mount a winning campaign for the nomination.”
