GOP frontrunner Donald Trump canceled his afternoon town hall in New Hampshire on Friday ahead of his campaign rally in South Carolina Friday night due to the weather.

The Trump campaign stated, “Due to the weather and the airports being closed Mr. Trump is unable to attend today’s Town Hall at the Londonderry Lions Club. This event will be rescheduled and additional details will follow. Mr. Trump will campaign in New Hampshire on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.”

Reporters were quick to criticize the real estate mogul for not appearing in New Hampshire ahead of the GOP primary debate in Manchester, New Hampshire on Saturday.

“.@realDonaldTrump left NH to sleep in NYC last night. Now, because of weather, he can’t get back to campaign today,” CNN’s Jeremy Diamond posted on Twitter.

Fox News’ Carl Cameron also commented on Trump’s canceled event and noted that the Manchester airport rarely closes.
