Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials detained 15 criminal aliens this week in Northern Illinois.

Over a two-day enforcement sweep, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested 14 illegal immigrants from Mexico and one illegal immigrant from Uruguay.

All 15 illegal immigrants have been convicted of crimes the Obama administration has deemed wrongful enough to warrant deportation, per Department of Homeland Security Sec. Jeh Johnson’s 2014 memorandum — issued in conjunction with Obama’s executive amnesty programs.

According to ICE, the 15 illegal immigrants have been convicted of: “aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a minor, aggravated unlawful use of a firearm, aggravated drunk driving, aggravated battery/great bodily harm, lewd and lascivious behavior in public, and drug possession.”

Under the administration’s priorities for enforcement — laid out in the 2014 memorandum — “Priority 1” illegal immigrants are those who are a national security threat, gang member, and/or those convicted of felonies. “Priority 2” include illegal immigrants convicted of three or more misdemeanors or of “significant” misdemeanors, including drunk-driving. “Priority 3” illegal immigrants are those who have been issued a final order of removal after January 2014.

The crimes committed by the 15 apprehended illegal immigrants this week met the top two Obama administration priorities.

Included in those arrests, ICE said, were:

A 24-year-old Mexican national with prior convictions for felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and illegally selling firearms. He was arrested March 14 in Rockford and remains in ICE custody pending a hearing before a federal immigration judge.

A 22-year-old Mexican national with prior felony convictions for aggravated battery/great bodily harm and drunken driving. He was arrested March 13 in Rockford and remains in ICE custody pending a hearing before a federal immigration judge.

A 32-year-old Mexican national with prior felony convictions for aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a minor and mob action/force. He was arrested March 14 in Rockford and remains in ICE custody pending removal.
