Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump canceled his announcement on Friday revealing his choice for vice president (VP) due to the terrorist attack in Nice, France where at least 73 people were killed.

“In light of the horrible attack in Nice, France, I have postponed tomorrow’s news conference concerning my Vice Presidential announcement,” Trump posted on Twitter Thursday evening.

Trump had scheduled the announcement for 11 a.m. on Friday at the Hilton in Midtown Manhattan. On Thursday afternoon, several reports emerged identifying Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as Trump’s pick for VP.
