Washington insiders “expect it to be business as usual in the federal government next year,” according to a new Washington Examiner/Echelon Influential Insights poll, which found Washington insiders prefer Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump by 40 percent.

“They overwhelmingly support Hillary Clinton,” stated Washington Examiner columnist Tim Carney, adding, “and seem to believe she’ll protect the way Washington does business from this political firestorm.”

Sixty-two percent of those surveyed said they don’t believe Washington lawmakers will change their approach to issues.

“This poll is of professionals in the know and decision-makers in Washington. They know how policy is shaped and they’re often the ones shaping it,” stated Echelon Insights founder and Washington Examiner columnist Kristen Soltis Anderson.
