An 83-year-old registered sex offender in Utah has reportedly admitted to several new crimes after police confronted him over the molestations of a local girl, a report says.

Dean Eldon Jones of Roy, Utah, now faces four first-degree felony counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, Fox 13 reports.

Police were alerted by the parents of one of the victims who claim the suspect took her into his basement and touched her inappropriately on several occasions in 2015.

When officials confronted him, he allegedly admitted to the act, as well as to similar actions with several other local girls, a police report says.

Jones was convicted in 1992 for sexually abusing children on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation and was sentenced to 117 months in prison. At that time, he was also listed on the state’s sex offender registry.

The suspect was hit with a $40,000 bail and remained in jail after his arrest. He is being held in the Weber County Jail and will receive a video arraignment on November 21.
