Virginia Republican lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Jill Vogel told Matthew Boyle, Breitbart News’s Washington political editor, on Breitbart News Saturday SiriusXM Patriot Channel 125 that Tuesday’s Virginia election “will define the future of Virginia for a generation.”

Boyle asked Vogel why she believes that Tuesday’s Virginia election remains important to Virginia’s future.

Vogel said, “What happens on Tuesday in Virginia does not just define the future of Virginia for a generation. The policies that we are pushing, the ideas, the issue-driven, positive campaign we are running [are] also about changing Virginia’s future. The whole country is watching us in Virginia. This is about where people feel the country should go. This is about the country’s feeling about tax reform, their thoughts on health care. The whole country is watching.”

Vogel added, “I have never seen an election where the stakes were higher or where the rhetoric and the vile nature of the messaging from the Democrats had such an impact on an election. It’s clear to me that indicates that they know where this is headed. We turned a corner, and Virginians are appalled by some of the messaging by the Democrats that is attacking conservative men, attacking Ed Gillespie, attacking our monuments.”

Boyle then asked Vogel about the controversial Latino Victory Fund ad that featured an Ed Gillespie supporter attempting to run over minority children. Boyle called the ad “one of the most disgusting things [he has] ever seen.”

Vogel condemned the Latino Victory Fund ad for using “vile and offensive imagery” and argued that “it’s an attack on all Virginians.”

“Even the Washington Post condemned that ad. My opponent, Justin Fairfax, did not disavow that,” Vogel added.

Virginia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Ralph Northam recently spurred controversy amongst his base after flip-flopping in favor of banning sanctuary cities.

Vogel argued that Virginia Democrats’ base became disillusioned after witnessing Northam’s flip-flop on sanctuary cities. Vogel said, “They’re pulling out their support. They’re saying, ‘We’re done.’”

Vogel concluded by saying that Tuesday’s Virginia election “will define the future of Virginia for a generation.”

Breitbart News reported on Friday that Vogel leads over Fairfax by three points. The Virginia election is on Tuesday, November 7.
