Update: A judicial panel did not certify a winner in a key House race in Virginia, after a recount resulted in a one-vote margin of victory for the Democratic challenger.
“The court declares there is no winner in this election,” said Circuit Court Judge Bryant L. Sugg, according to the Washington Post. The race is now tied and the winner could be decided by lot.

An election recount in Virginia ended with Republican David Yancey losing his 10 vote margin to his Democrat rival Shelly Simonds, giving her a one-vote victory.
The final count was 11,608 to 11,607.
Simonds unlikely victory not only marks a victory in her state district but ends 18 years of Republican control of the Virginia state legislature.
Republicans and Democrats in the state legislature now have to explore an awkward power-sharing agreement.
Republicans still hold a 21-19 margin in the State Senate with the Democrat Lt. Governor able to cast a vote to break a tie.
