Several banks have received requests for information about their ties to Jared Kusner from New York State financial regulators, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.

The New York State Department of Financial Services, or DFS, regulates New York banks and some international banks that do business in that state. According to the Wall Street Journal, it has sent inquiries to Deutsche Bank and Signature Bank asking about their relationship with Kushner and his finances.

The inquiries are described by WSJ sources as “expansive” and “comprehensive.” They involve both Kushner’s personal finances as well as his family’s real-estate company, Kushner Cos, the WSJ reports.
