Republican politician and activist Gary Bauer spoke to Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon about Sen. Ted Cruz’s Republican National Convention speech.
He said, “If he thought this would help him, he’s dead wrong. This is the equivalent of setting yourself on fire. It’s going to take some incredible event we can’t foresee right now for him to have a political future, in my view.”
Bauer made the remarks during a joint interview with blogger Jim Hoft, who pointed out that Trump was aware of the speech beforehand and “let Ted Cruz dig his own political grave.” Hoft also praised Trump as a leader for letting the speech go forward as he had committed to do.
