Democrat strategist and pollster Pat Caddell spoke with Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Monday regarding Pro-Trump SuperPAC attacks on Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV) for his opposition to the Senate healthcare bill and Obama’s handling of the controversy surrounding Russia’s alleged meddling in the 2016 election.

On the healthcare issue, Caddell faulted the early attack on Heller and said, “The strategy is … you’ve got to pull together, and you’ve got to figure out how to persuade first. There are ways to communicate the last option. But you don’t start by attacking them and making them more vulnerable.”

Caddell also hammered consultants behind PACs he did not name, saying they seem to be doing very little to support Trump or his agenda while raising a lot of money for the consultant class involved in running them.

The SuperPAC has backed off that threat to Heller for now.

While blasting Democrats and Democrat-aligned groups like Planned Parenthood, Caddell also returned to the GOP side of political strategy, saying, “What we do not have are strategy and tactics that meet the times. I am so frustrated by the fact that the White House, for people who are Trump supporters, why the White House and the outside groups cannot act in at least some appearance of … not just hitting each other or hurting each other.”

Regarding reports that Obama knew early of Russia’s meddling in the election, Caddell said, “It’s pretty damned suspicious that Obama waited; it was only after Trump got elected that they go all in on this issue and doing the Russian investigation. Why wasn’t the president protecting our electoral system?”

“They thought Hillary was going to win,” he continued. “They didn’t want to upset it, and they didn’t tell the American people, and as one of the Obama people said–a phrase that should go down in history–‘We choked on this!’ They choked for political reasons. Let’s get it straight,” Caddell concluded.
