Major League Baseball is on the verge of introducing three new rules changes for this season.

According to ESPN’s sources, owners voted to allow translators to accompany managers and pitching coaches to visit foreign pitchers who have trouble speaking English–like Texas Rangers hurler Yu Darvish–on the mound.

In addition, teams “will be permitted to have a seventh coach in uniform” and “fake-to-third, throw-to-first pickoff move now would be considered a balk.”

The players’ union must ratify these changes in the coming weeks for rules to be implemented this season.
