Notre Dame university and Manti Te’o’s family will not publicly release the findings of an investigative firm Notre Dame hired after Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o informed university officials on December 26 that his dead girlfriend did not exist and claimed he was allegedly the victim of a hoax.

Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick said, in a press conference on Wednesday, the university received the final report from the investigative firm on January 4th. He said the firm found “internet chatter” confirming the hoax.

He reiterated that neither the school nor the Te’o family would make the results of the investigation public.
