A San Francisco 49ers fan reportedly stabbed an Atlanta Falcons fan in the throat after the Falcons fan first punched the 49ers fan in the face on Sunday. The incident occurred after San Francisco defeated Atlanta 28-24 on Sunday in the NFC championship game.
According to WSB-TV in Atlanta, witnesses said the two fans exchanged words before the altercation.
The stabbed fan is being transported to the hospital at the time of this writing.
