Former Florida Governor and possible 2016 presidential candidate Jeb Bush’s offer to buy the Miami Marlins baseball team was reportedly denied.

Owner Jeffrey Loria “rejected overtures from a half dozen people who expressed interest in buying the Marlins,” including Bush.

According to the Miami Herald, “Bush made a ‘large offer’ to buy the team this offseason, but Loria told him he’s not selling.” Other have said “Bush had put together a group of wealthy investors,” and Venezuelan media mogul Gustavo Cisneros may have been a part of the group.

Former President George W. Bush – Jeb’s brother – once owned the Texas Rangers.
