Georgia Southern (9-seed), Furman (8) and UNC Greensboro (10) all pulled upsets Friday to kick off the Southern Conference tournament. Saturday Georgia Southern kicks off action against 1-seed Davidson at noon ET. There is no longer a player named “Curry” on the Davidson squad, but they are still the best team in teh conference (65th at www.kenpom.com), which is good enough to potentially upset a team in the NCAA if they make it. The championship will be Monday in Asheville, NC. Here are the top eight players and teams.
