The 105th Chicago Yacht Club race, the world’s oldest annual freshwater distance race, kicked off on Saturday morning. Between 300-400 boats and over 3000 sailors compete annually in the 333-mile, two-to-three day journey up and across Lake Michigan. The race is known as “The Mack.”
