Following Week 8, three teams can make serious claims for the top spot in the nation, and there is a steep fall after Oregon, Alabama, and Florida State. Given their respective resumes, those three are interchangeable, but the rest of the nation saw a lot of change this week. Clemson, Louisville, UCLA, LSU, and Texas A&M fell out of title contention, and preseason SEC East darlings Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida now find themselves out of the Top 25.
