The Chicago Bears released defensive end Julius Peppers earlier this week. But Peppers will be back playing in Soldier Field this season–at least for one game.

The eight-time Pro Bowler signed a three-year deal with the Green Bay Packers on Saturday. The contract potentially pays Peppers $30 million over three years. Just pact guarantees just $7.5 million. Peppers, 34, enters his thirteenth NFL season.

Peppers compiled just seven sacks last season, his lowest total since 2007. His 118 career sacks puts him at eighteenth on the all-time list, one spot ahead of DeMarcus Ware, who signed with Denver this week, and six spots behind Jared Allen, who remains unsigned.
