St. Helens Girls Softball Association (SHGS) motto is, “Don’t you wish you hit like a girl?” And right now they are giving away one thing that hits harder than they do.

SHGS is raffling off a Barrett M107A1 .50 caliber rifle as a fundraising project.

Tickets are $50 each. SHGS began raffling them on March 14 and will stop selling them “on or about August 23, 2014.” The drawing will be held on August 23.

On March 20th, Breitbart Sports spoke with SHGS vice president and director of safety Jeff Kroll, and he said everyone who buys one ticket and attends the drawing gets to shoot the rifle one time on the day of the drawing. If you buy three tickets and attend the drawing you get to shoot the rifle three times; if you buy 10 tickets and attend the drawing you get to shoot the rifle 10 times, etc.

After all ticket holders present have shot, the drawing will be held and the rifle will be given to the winner.

Kroll said SHGS expects to make “in excess of $35,000 for the softball association” after all of their expenses related to buying the rifle, paying the taxes, etc. are met.

Leupold is donating a $1900 scope package to go with the rifle.
