The NBA playoffs start this weekend, but iconic sideline announcer Craig Sager who has been associated with the NBA’s postseason may be watching it from home.

His son revealed that Sager has been diagnosed with “acute leukemia” and would be starting a 3-4-week treatment on Friday.

Sager, known now as much for his outrageous wardrobe selections on TNT as the iconic and gritty announcer who ran onto the field and interviewed Hank Aaron as he was crossing home plate after breaking Babe Ruth’s career home run record at Atlanta’s Fulton County Stadium, has a great rapport with many of the league’s top talents.
