Hours after TMZ released a shocking video of Ravens running back Ray Rice knocking out his then-fiancee in an elevator, the Baltimore Ravens terminated Ray Rice’s contract on Monday afternoon.

Rice was serving a two-game suspension for the incident. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell conceded that the lenient suspension was a mistake and subsequently instituted a six-game suspension for a first domestic violence offense and a lifetime ban for a second.
