The arrests of Aaron Hernandez, Ray Rice, and Adrian Peterson have reinforced the perception of the NFL as the National Felons League. But police actually arrest NFL players at about one-eighth the clip of the rate for comparable men in society.

Like a trap play or a reverse, not everything is how it appears.
