Jordan Spieth locked up the PGA Tour Championship at East Lake early on Sunday with birdies on 8,9, and 11 on his way to a 69 and capturing the $10 million FedEx Cup prize money.

On top of the $1.5 million he deposited in his checking account for winning the tournament and the $11 million he earned in other PGA tournaments this season, the young golfing sensation totaled $22,030,465 in 2015.

Spieth’s exploits surpasses Tiger Woods’ 2007 FedEx Cup winning season of $20,867,000, making him the all-time leading single-year money winner in PGA Tour history.

Winning both the Masters and the U.S. Open, coming in second in the PGA Championship, a top-five finish in the Open Championship, and three other wins this season, Spieth’s year can arguably go down as one of the greatest in the history of golf.

Even though Spieth just turned 22 in July, he has plenty of years remaining to exceed his 2015 accomplishments.  Yet, chances are this will be one of his most outstanding.

CBS sports asserted that Spieth erased all doubt about the PGA Tour Player of the Year race. Spieth’s closest contender is Australian Jason Day, who also won five tournaments this year, including one major, the PGA Championship. Day finished third in the FedEx Cup standings.
