World Series seats for games at Citi Field surpass the costliest in history.

CBS New York reports TiqIQ listing $1,668 as the average price for Citi Field World Series tickets offered on its website. The average selling price for Games Three and Four tickets for the Queens venue approached $1,100, reports ESPN.

On StubHub, Game Three tickets run from $517 for standing-room spots to $1,000,000 for seats on the outfield promenade, one of the least vaunted locations in the stadium. For sellers looking to make a buck rather than make us laugh, lower-box seats around home plate go in the $5,000 to $10,000 range on StubHub.

Halloween Game Four seats appear more treat than trick, with StubHub showing priced-to-sell tickets running between $499.50 and $25,000.

For Game Five at Citi Field, one ambitious seller peddles upper deck promenade seats above the infield for $799,999. But most of the lower-box seats ask in the $5,000-$10,000 range, with some outliers wanting $25,000. The standing-room tickets ask for around $500.

The venue’s proximity to the financial capital of the world, and the team’s 15-year absence from the Fall Classic, helps explain the expense of the tickets. Kauffman Stadium, which hosted four World Series games last year, fetches more than $300 less for tickets exchanged on the secondary market. Kansas City hosts the the first two and last two games, if necessary, of the seven-game series. Queens gets the middle three, provided the teams avoid a sweep.
