Only days after being selected No. 12 by the Houston Texans in the 2017 NFL draft, former Clemson University quarterback Deshaun Watson celebrated by buying his mother a brand new Jaguar for her birthday.

Watson made a splash of his gift by taking to Twitter to tell fans of his birthday wishes for his mom, Deann.

The player also jumped to his Instagram account to brag on his mother.

Happy Birthday Mama! I love you and you deserve your first official car! Enjoy it. Had to cop her the 2017 Jaguar! Blessings from above! You my rock and my inspiration!

Clicking the right-pointing arrow on the Instagram post also reveals a video of Watson’s mom jumping with delight into her new ride.

Watson is all about his mother, of course. Not long ago Deann had a cancer scare, and right after he was drafted, he publicly read a letter she wrote.

Unsurprisingly, Jaguar motor company was pleased to welcome the player to their own “family.”

At a price tag of up to $66,000, the 2017 Jaguar XF is rated number 11 in luxury midsize cars according to USA Today.

But just last year, after being bought out by India-based Tata Motors, the head of Jaguar was chagrined to speak to the British car maker’s history of making “bad cars.”

“The times of bad cars are over,” President and CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America, Joe Eberhardt, said in 2015. “This is the next generation of Jaguar. But we need customer confidence to get there.”
