On April 4, 2018, Breitbart News reported that we had frozen our Glock 43 four times, dragged it behind a vehicle, and never cleaned it, yet shot over 500 rounds through it with only two hiccups.

On April 19, we upped the ante by freezing the gun again with the intention of taking the block of ice to a cliff and throwing it off. Thereafter, we picked up the gun to see if it would still shoot every time.

The trip to the cliff ran into logistical problems, but we did manage to drag the frozen gun behind a vehicle on April 25, caking the gun full of dirt and grit again, making it look like the pistol may have finally had enough.

However, once we cleared the ice out of the magazine well — and removed enough ice from the magazine itself to put in one round — we discovered that the gun continued to shoot as it has always done. And it has still not been cleaned.

It is important to note that there is nothing special about our Glock 43. When we received it for review in the spring of 2015, it was a regular pistol, made for retail sale just like any other. Glock had no idea we were going to torture it, let alone freeze it in a block of ice five times, drag it down a road twice, and never clean it.

Our goal has been to find a way to make this Glock malfunction. To date, we have not been able to do so.
