University of Texas receiver Joshua Moore was arrested and charged with allegedly carrying a loaded gun in Austin last month.
KXAN reports the arrest affidavit shows police saw Moore allegedly “remove a firearm from his waistband, walk in between two vehicles, [appear] to chamber a round by pulling the slide of the gun to the rear, and then place the firearm back into his waistband.”
Police noted, “The pistol contained a 30 round magazine with a live round which was loaded into the chamber ready to be fired.”
Moore did not have a permit to carry the gun.
He was arrested and released on $6,000 bond. His court date was originally set for August 22, but the Dallas Morning News reported that date was moved to September 23.
University of Texas coach Todd Herman released a statement on Moore’s arrest, saying, “We’re aware of the situation with Joshua Moore. We have talked with him and his family and are handling this internally at this time, but will continue to monitor the legal process. We will determine any further action upon the completion of that process.”
