The Metropolitan Police have confirmed an incident following the Day for Freedom free speech event in London on Sunday which left an attendee bloodied after he was attacked by Antifa with a bike lock.

Following the free speech event, attendees moved on to several bars and pubs in Whitehall, London, before noticing a man covered in blood outside of the Silver Cross pub.

Stumbling through the crowd, the man informed people that he had been attacked by Antifa with a bike lock, and was quickly rushed into the pub to receive immediate medical attention before an ambulance and police officers could arrive.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident in an email to Breitbart News:

Police were called at 22:45hrs on Monday, 6 May to the Silver Cross Pub in Whitehall following reports of an injured male.

Officers attended.

A group of males were reported to have been fighting in the street.

One male is believed to have been hit with a bike lock before going into the pub. He was treated by LAS.

No arrests.

Enquiries continue.

On Twitter, far-left accounts celebrated the attack, while others denied that the incident had taken place, including Far Right Watch and Daryle L. Jenkins, the executive director of an organization which “monitors and publishes information about alleged racist and far right groups and individuals.”

One far-left account also threatened this author for reporting on the attack, declaring, “We know you are still there mate. We have spotters all over tomorrow also,” before having his Twitter account suspended.
