DNC Chairman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is no stranger to stretching the truth, or as it is often called, lying. She truly reached new levels of bombastic anti-Tea Party rhetoric recently in a speech on CSPAN-2.

This interview precipitated an interesting series of tweets involving RNC Chairman Reince Preibus and Wasserman Schultz

Fortunately, Wasserman Schultz was kind enough to provide a link to the transcript. It may be instructive to examine some quotes from the transcript,

And I’ll tell you, I hesitate to place blame, but I have noticed it take a very precipitous turn towards edginess

and a lack of civility with the growth of the Tea Party movement.

After the 2010 elections, when you have the Tea Party elect a whole lot of their supporters to the United States

House of Representatives, and you had town hall meetings that they tried to take over and you saw some of

their conduct at the town hall meetings, you know, in the time that I’ve been in my state legislature and in

congress I’ve never seen a time that was more divisive, or where discourse was less civil

What the Tea Party has done is they have taken it to a different level, and so when they come and disagree with

you, you’re not just wrong, you are the enemy. I mean, that’s really a place that politics in america shouldn’t

go. When they disagree with you on an issue, you’re not just wrong, you’re a liar

This transcript would seem to indicate that she is indeed more than happy to politicize the tragic event in Tucson. Her conduct is a disgrace, even for a Democrat. Don’t expect an apology however, she cannot even remember her own words in her own transcript she linked to.
